baby it's cold outside
Well we've all come across the bitterly cold weather of late, and during my visits to the post office I've been freezing, despite my attempts to wrap up like a bear in the North Pole.
This got me thinking how could I improve my warmth level whilst outside.
With the wind finding it's way into any available gap between my coat and my scarf, and my lips freezing up and becoming chapped. The only solution was of course, a balaclava ;-) So on Xmas eve and Christmas morning I set about knitting this up. Whilst it might look Over The Top, I can assure you. I'd prefer to look a little bit OTT, than be freezing my butt off, and I'm pretty sure they'll be people in colder climates than London which would heartedly agree.

AVATAR
So I spent this evening eating a lovely italian meal, in a cosy restaurant that i've walked past many a time, followed by a late show of Avatar 3D, All curtosy of my mum and dads, Christmas pressie (THANK YOU)
I had a truely lovely evening, and for anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet, I'd highly recommend it. The imagery was certainly imaginative, (even if the story line wasn't). And I'd definitely watch it again.
Then Having reached home at 2am in the morning, I found 9 sales in my in-box, which will keep me well a truly busy during my Holidayzzzz..............................

Roll on my Christmas Break
I'm so looking forward to taking a few days off, I've been on full turbo power for 6 months, with constant deadlines, every day.
This year has been phenomenal, and it's taught me a whole heap of lessons, in relation to time management, business strategies, customer service, quality of work, my gosh the list is endless.
But i'm thankful for every single one of my customers who have helped me develop my iLE AiYE brand, has pushed my comfort zone way beyond what I thought my limitations were, and inevitable helped me to produce some amazing products.
I can't believe it's all come out of me. It just goes to show, anything is possible.
So wishing you all a lovely end to 2009, a happy Christmas, and a peaceful and healthy 2010.

It is new
This is a custom order from one of my regular customers in New York, she actually requested something quite different from this, more in the style of my Moment 2 Myself cardi, but with a smaller/tighter stitch. Whilst I was knitting it, I really wasn't getting very exciting, maybe it was because the yarn and needle size are to close to the recommended specs. which to be honest is not somthing I ever do. After a convo to my customer explaining that I didn't think the end result was going to be unique, she entrusted me to do what ever I felt fit.
So this is it. ....
I'm now waiting to hear back from her, it'll be a nail biting afternoon.
Good news, my lovely customer likes it, so it will be heading off tomorrow. and the bonus is another good customer loves it too, and is thinking of having it in another shade.

I'm sure my Dad won't mind
So yesterday I was thinking, my dad has a new IPOD and has used an MP3 player for years, and loves it, but I'm not sure if he has a MP3 player machine in his car. and how frustrating this must be, also he sometimes drives 3 different cars in a day, and I'm pretty sure not all three would have an MP3 sterio.
Whilst knitting my mind wanders off to thinking there surely must be something you can buy that connects your MP3 / Ipod to your car sterio. So off I go Googling, and sure enough there is such a thing. WHOOOPEEE. infact it looks so simple and it was so reasonably priced I bought 3 of them. one for Dad, one for my brother and one for me.
So if you're after a little stocking filler for your brother, dad, husband or boyfriend, I'm sure this will go down a treat.

Tis NEW
So I had a custom order for an extra chunky version of my moment 2 myself cardi.
This is the result.
Also the pretty little dress is the result of my shopping trip on friday, it has lovely leather straps on the shoulders - which you can't see in these images, anyway, i've since learnt my friend is able to purchase this dress with her staff 50% discount card, and has voluntary suggested I return mine, and she'll purchase one for me. BARGAIN. So I'll be taking this one back. hehe.

Today I bought this.
http://www.etsy.com/shop/cocoricooo
For me this will be a perfect little summer dress, and being the person that I am, I always buy out of season, it's very rare I'll by a summer outfit in the summer, or a winter outfit in the winter.

Oh YEAh I'm in.
So I've been holding my breath for a month or so (well not literally of course - that mean I was dead), anyway. My Good friend Mary, who's organising what will be one of the biggest Christmas handmade fayres in London this december at Chelsea town hall. Has just emailed to say she's had a cancellation. whopppeee. I obviously grabbed the opportunity, and taken her up on the spare table. I didn't book it originally as I thought I'd be involved in my own craft fayre at the Ritzy, but due to refurbishment we're now closed.
But leaving it all to fate, a slot has arisen.
So for further info on this fayre, check out http://wemakelondon.blogspot.com/ if you want some great gifts for crimbo, come along to chelsea town hall next saturday 5th December 11am - 5pm .
I'll now be knitting like a maniac to get some stock together. so 'DO NOT DISTURBED'

New colour for my Wraparound jacket
I've been knitting this over the last couple of days, it's a custom order for a lady in the states.
Why I didn't use this yarn years ago for this jacket, god only knows, it's now a discontinued yarn, so it'll be a limited edition in my store, and of course I'll be making one for myself.
Thankfully, the internet brought up a yarn shop that still has this yarn/shade in stock, so I've just spent a small fortune with them.
This jacket is available in my store http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=35386546

I just had 2 have it.
I went for the black and nude shades, with the darker colour graduation coming from the top, opposed to graduating from nude to black.
I think this will look great in the summer to funk- up a t.shirt and jeans outfit.

Christmas cards
Etsy has a huge range of Greeting cards, Without doubt, they are totally affordable, even with the postage costs, especially when you think of the boring mass produced cards available on the high street.
