So November is rewarding me with a tiny bit of time on my hands. Which I'm most grateful for.

Whilst I've still got a heap of orders to dispatch, the deadline isn't nearly as tight as it's been.

So I find myself with a bit of time, where I can share some work from other very talented artists who sell on etsy.

Today I'm bringing you some gift ideas for the men in your life, beit son's husbands, dads, or uncles.

The Guardian

So yesterday, I was asked by one of the website's that feature iLE AiYE hats if I could provide a product/image cut out. This website work closely with the media, ie: magazines, newspapers, and T.V. They've been asked to put together a list of Christmas Gifts for The Guardian Newspaper, So you can imagine how chuffed I was when I got that email.

Timi did the cut out for me today. So now it's just a waiting game, will my iLE AiYE hat make it into their feature, and when will it be featured??? So if anyone see's the above cut out in The Guardian, please give me a shout.

I'm down with October

So October seemed to start off a little slower than previous month of late, I was thinking OK, this is the slow down. but before I knew it, I'd been featured in an Etsy Finds email/storque article, which sent my store into complete overdrive. ~Now having experienced this magnitude of sales / convo's and frantic knitting, in such a short space of time, I no longer hold an ambition to be a featured Seller on Etsy. It's crazy stressful, if you don't keep your Calm about you, and generally totally MAD.

It took me a good two weeks to clear the orders from the etsy finds exposure, luckily sales have since steadied themselves out somewhat. Giving me time to sleep. ;-)

The big news for iLE AiYE this month was hitting 1,000 sales, and from what I can see, this has put iLE AiYE at the top of the sales list for knitters on the whole of etsy. Something I never thought would happen, this is of course with exception of My friend cricketscreations, she's on 1,300 and something, but since she branched out from selling just scarves and introduced her Fringe photo props earlier this year, this has pushed her sales upto to that figure, and good on her, she's a lovely lady. But it takes her out of the 'Just knitting; section.

I gained an additional 555 shop hearts bringing the total to 3,667. and total sales for the month have almost hit 150

The best seller for October , was my 'moment 2 myself' chunky cardigan. I'm really chuffed with this, as the cardigan is such a great comfortable design, totally affordable, and perfect for every occasion, So it's extremely pleasing to find that my customers are seeing these attributes and snatching one up for the themselves, and as one of my customers stated in her feedback, 'its like wearing a hug'

So November is just around the corner, it'll be interesting to see what comes my way.

in mind, she's since received the original one that I made. And has told me she loves it, she's very much into body cuffs.

Last week I sold this one to a lady in Texas, so this is heading of state side this afternoon.

ONE THOUSAND

This is my recorded sales on etsy, I sat all day saturday with my sales on 999 arghhhh. it was driving me crazy, Just one more sale and i'd have that lovely looking figure of 1,000. Well it came. Not with fireworks, and a crowd applauding, but it was special never the less.

But I tell you, I've worked HARD for 14 - 16 hrs most days for the past 4 months, I don't know what brought all those sales my way, but I'm happy they came. As we start looking towards the holiday season, I feel I'll be less busy, as customers save their pennies for gifts, rather than personal items for themselves. And if I'm honest a little slow down would be nice, Time for some planning on what to knit up / design next, a few lie ins, and early nights, lazing about on the sofa, and some leather work, are all what's on my mind.
