My go at creating some treasuries

Over the last few days, I thought I'd have a go at making some treasuries, I'd not done one for quite some time, and had never used poster sketch before this weekend (god why not, I don't know) it's a great tool, to help prepare your treasury prior to the etsy 10 second window that opens once every day or two, which allows you to create and catch a treasury opportunity. It's a mad internet rush, when that window opens, imagine it'sworse than being at the best jumble sale in town, with queues around the block, and the front doors open, what a stampede.

Anyway I'm delighted because both of my attempts reached the Etsy FP. which is not always an easy task when your competing with approximately 800 - 1000 other treasuries which have been created within the same time scale.

Etsy FP 5/3/10

This morning I woke up at 3.30am. I don't really sleep much more than 5 hrs, and since I went to bed early last night, i was bound to wake up early. Anyway, not long after making myself a coffee, I noticed my green hat was one the Etsy FP at 4am, the treasury was curated by one of my FTEC team mates, check out her shop.http://www.etsy.com/shop/CricketsCreations

A new shade to my evening firefly shrugs, personally I think this would be great worn in the daytime on a lovely warm sunny day, the sparkle off this yarn, might blind someone though. ;-)

Preview

Later today and this evening, I intend to treat myself to a session of knitting, that doesn't involve custom orders. I've had a simple summer top in my head for some time, and this week I ordered the yarn. This lovely coral red cotton acrylic yarn is hopefullygoing to work its wonders on my needles, to create my vision. If all goes well, I'll have some pictures tomorrow of the finished garment. If it goes a bit 'Ooops a daisy'. Then I'll probably have to unravel it.

I being born and raised in Wales, am happy to celebrate the day by sharing a few artists who have used the Welsh national flower 'the Daffodil' within their work.

a spring version of my moment 2 myself chunky sweater

YEs well black might not exactly be the most spring like colour, but for now, I've only had time - due to a custom order- to knit this lighter weight version in a black. It's a very slim fitting style in comparison to the my chunky version. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39688805 which will be perfect for the hot summer evenings. The yarn is a mix of cotton and acrylic, and comes in loads of spring like colours, I might give it a go in a cream, and and a vibrant red, cause I love red in the summer.
