Etsy FP 19/4/10

This morning I was on the etsy front page, the list is an etsy admin curation,

in other news, London, the UK, and a good deal of Europe is now in it's 5th day of No Flight Zones, due to the ash clouds from the active volcano in Iceland. This is causing all kinds of chaos, Not only for small businesses like myself, where sending out overseas orders is at present not an option, but also for our food supplies coming in from Africa and around the world. the knock on effect is quite enormous,

So please say a little prayer, for this Icelandic volcano to stop spilling out Ash clouds.

Oh wow i LOVE these, the shoes are ok, but the brass ankle chain is what's calling me,

I'm not a big wearer of high heals, although I do own a few pairs, and in the summer, I'm often seen wearing an ankle chain, but these take it up a notch, so I'm very tempted to get myself a set I may put it on my birthday wish list.

My New knitting chair

For the longest time, infact all my adult life, i've wanted a brand new sofa, I've never had a nice big comfy sofa, today my dream came true ,

I also bought a matching swivel chair, which is going to be my new knitting station,

The only thing is I now have to wait 6 - 8 weeks for it to be delivered.

Yes it's amazing how a ball of yarn can make me so happy, this morning I've been knitting one of these tanks in blue/lilac shades, for a customer in Canada. The original pink yarn was out of stock throughout all my sources. However, it doesn't harm to do random google searches, of which I did this morning. Whoppee. up came some results, so obviously i snapped up the stock, and now I'm smiling, and feeling rather happy. I'll even be able to make one up for myself.

just playing around

This morning i spent a few hours knitting this waistcoat up, I'd ordered some Black Eco cotton yarn last week, and well this lilac yarn turned up by mistake, I decided to keep it, although not necessarily a colour I would have chosen, but as I usually try to be concious that every action has a reaction, I figured there must be a reason why this shade turned up instead of the black.

So here is born an extreme racer back, waistcoat, in a lilac/lavender tone.

Feeling blue

My tangerine shrug got a fair bit of attention last week - for some reason - I think i sold around 3 of them, funny how that happens, maybe it's because spring is springing, One customer requested the Tangerine shrug in this Teal/denim blue, Which as you can see, is quite a beautiful colour.

I'm not actually a drinker of the alcoholic beverage kind, and when I did drink it was never a beer, but when i saw these rings, I was most amused, and thought I'd share it with you, Maybe your hubby, brother, dads or Boyfriends likes the odd bottle and well this is a great party convo.
