Ummm. I wonder if I could spoil myself to this, a perfect (for me) summer bag. it reminds me of a bag I had when I was much younger, I'm always a fan of yellow in the summer, and I like my bags to have a masculine touch, which I think this hints at, whilst still being ever so feminine.

a new YARN

Whilst this looks just like my other summer shrugs, believe me, the yarn is very different. this is a mix of super luxury mohair and silk, and when I say silk, i mean too, as soft as silk. this shrug falls over your skin like a soft warm breeze,

But you can't be multi-tasking whilst wearing this, NO....

Only suitable for romantic nights out,

Dinner and dances

sunny wedding, or christening invites, or similar special occasions,

The shrug is available in many different tones/shades I'm sure one of them will match your special dress.

Thank heavens for some warm sunshine

See what a little bit of warm sunshine can do, yesterday evening, I knitted up this lot, with anticipation of doing not very much today, other than spending the day in the sun.

Whilst some of the yarns arn't exactly summer friendly, i've been needing to knit up some of my single balls of yarn to clear up some space in my stash, so these little faux fur beauties flew off my needles last night, and as always with this design, I'm loving the results, They're incredibly soft, warm and stylish,

The pashmina shawl has been a work in progress since last summer, having spent all the winter months patiently waiting to be photographed, this morning I gave it some picture luv.

Grown up knitting

Today I'm mostly doing grown up knitting, I call it grown up, cause it's advanced kind of stuff, like, stitch markers, cabling, counting, circular needles -but knitting straight- lots of concentration, and hours upon hours of knitting which don't seem to make any difference in the growth of the garment.

I'm knitting a custom order, which if all goes well, will be a very lovely dark chocolate alpaca cardigan, The customer sent me the most yummy yarn to knit it, so I'm a little tense hoping my freestyle pattern will come out with the results we've discussed,

so if you don't see or hear from me for another week, Just look for a pile of chocolate alpaca threads, I'll be under there somewhere.

Gonna try something new

I purchased this lace neckline thingy ( I don't know the proper name for these) Anyway it arrived this morning. and it's beautiful, I'm hoping to incorporate it into a knitting project I have in mind, using a thin black yarn, Who know's when I'll get round to it, but when I'm done, I'll be sure to show you.

I bought this yarn last summer, and until last weekend I'd had no time to knit it into this shrug, so with the bank holiday and orders having slowed down a tad, I finally got a few hours to knock this out, I'm almost tempted to keep it, but I think I'm going to knit myself up the dark purple merino instead, cause I just love that yarn. so this one is available in my store as a 'one of kind', as the yarn is long discontinued.

YEs this morning for the first time in something like 10 months I was able to play properly with my leather, Just to get me into the feel of it again, I made these, and for those of you who'll remember those tassels on my leather jacket, here's a pair of leather tassel earrings, I still have a lot of tassels left, so be warned, I will be boring you with many more tassel creations.

My little sewing machine quite surprised me by sewing up the snake effect leather which is a pretty firm leather, not so much thick, but stiff,

I use a pouch just like these for my headphones, usb stick, dongle, and bluetooth, it's really handy, and keeps them all housed together whilst in my handbag.

Anyway what a fun morning that was, now back to my orders and yarn.
