I'm a proud mother

I'm so pleased to share with you my Sons first piece of professional work,

For the past two weeks Jordan has carried out a work placement at the Independant on Sunday one of our national newspapers http://www.independent.co.uk/ he was working in the Graphics department, from his first day to the last he was given pages to mock up for both the supplement magazine and the Sunday paper, he was responsible for sourcing images to place alongside the story, designing graphics and touching up the images, plus a whole heap more that I'm not familiar with.
On Sunday his work was published in the National Paper. The images above are just a small taster of his finished published work.
To end his work placement on a big high, he was offered a Saturday post at the Paper.
I'm a very proud mum. :-)

FREE AT LAST

OMG I'm now free of Jury service, yesterday when my case finished, I was pleasantly surprised to hear the words 'you have now been discharged from jury service'

I feel like a free woman,

So back to reality -- business as normal.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Dances around my sitting room.

Lets talk Gloves

Pink cashmere frill on grey romantic gloves Last Pair in this shade

Today I knitted the cutest toddler gloves, A customer requested these with a matching scarf, which I'll be knitting up tonight. Children's wear is not something I tend to do, as I don't have a little one at home to judge the sizing against for my patterns, but wow I got so excited knitted these, they're so small and so so cute.

in other glove news, the dusky pink cashmere rim used in the Pink and Grey romantic gloves is now all gone - finito, (cries a little bit) but I do have a a small stock of an alternative shade, as shown in the image above.

Tempting

TRINKET BROWN
Last weekend I took my son shopping to Kensington High Street, He's got a work placement at the Independent Newspaper, and so wanted a couple of merino v.necks for that smart casual look. So inevitably I was unable to walk past the shoe shops without having a peep.
Always a bad thing, cause I'm a sucker for a new pair of boots, I tried these on, and OMG I've not stopped thinking about them all week.
I'm now very tempted to nip to the store and just get me a pair. http://www.dune.co.uk/catalogue/category.asp?r=43&g=41&s=767

Last one

Black and Grey Cobble peru poncho LAST ONE

phew.. whilst searching for half an hour looking for another yarn, I discovered I only had enough yarn left to make one more of these, http://www.etsy.com/listing/57250657/black-and-grey-cobble-peru-poncho-last Or at least I think it's only one more, as I'm pretty sure I don't have any more of this yarn hiding in my stash.

Sorry for my absence

So I'm well into the swing of my Jury Service, it's extremely emotional, tiring, and so time consuming.
I've juried one case, and now I'm onto the next case,
Sadly I'm not even allowed to bring my knitting needles into the court house, so there's absolutely no knitting going on during waiting or travelling time, which I'm so disappointed about.
Hence I'm multi tasking to the extreme, when I get home.

Please bare with me, blogging /posting will resume at my earliest convenience.

looking hot

So my friend Renee came round this afternoon, and graciously allowed me to take a few snaps of her in the said halterneck net dress,
She's delighted, as am I, the fit is just perfect. and the additional double knit layering in parts, is just covering the right places. So they'll be no embarrassing nipple exposures.
