Using up a little yarn before it got lost

Yesterday I was knitting up a custom order, using the brown mottle yarn which is present in this collar, I had a tiny bit left, just enough to knit up this collar, and possibly one more for myself, so before I misplaced the tiny stash, I decided to put it to some good use, and created this little furry number.

Coming any day now

Last week I was lucky enough to find some more of this brown mohair yarn, which I knit together with the brown alpaca blend yarn to create this sweater,

So this week, my needles will be busy creating a similar sweater to this on, but the new version will be a little shorter, with no curve, the hem line at the back will be longer than the hemline at the front.

My aim is to make a slightly more affordable sweater. So keep you're eye's peeled over the coming days for the new version.

A nice warm shrug on those chilly days

So using the charcoal yarn which I was initially going to knit a new cape from, I came over with an urge last night to knit up a long sleeved shrug, which will also double up as a scarf.

This is the same yarn which I've been using on the grunge sweaters, it's very warm, something which was really needed this morning at 9am, as my son might say 'oh my days it's freezing'

If you look closely you'll notice I had a bit of fun in the chemist yesterday, and painted each fingernail with a different coloured polish, I've not owned or painted my nails in about 10 years, This will not be the case from now on, as I ended up buying two shades, a black, and a very dark plum.

This week has been full of mid-night knitting, ie: up in the middle of the night, and knitting through to dawn and beyond. Next project is a cape in the same yarn, but either the charcoal, or a grey mottle. But first it's back to knitting up my orders.

Sadly these little beauties are coming to an end, I have enough yarn to knit one of each, so unless I find some replacement yarn on the net, these will be no more. All gone.

Grunge OCD

I know.. I know... I'm overloading on Grunge, but really the colours of this yarn are so lush it's really hard not to.

This week, I ordered a petrol teal shade OMG it's so gorgeous, but I'm going to fight myself and knit another sweater style/idea that I have, from that shade, hopefully I'll have that sweater ready by next weekend.

but for now I'll just gaze longingly at this cream one, before it heads of to France tomorrow.
