some more bamboo shrugs

Yes I've gone mad and bought a whole stash of this bamboo yarn, it's just to tempting with all the gorgeous shades available, and with it being a discontinued product, I had to act quick, I'm limiting my temptations, to these 5 shades, (black, emerald, steel blue, coral red, and golden nude). believe me I really want to go wild and get all the shades, but my stash is already overflowing with yarns waiting patiently to be knitted up.

in other news, I'm heading to the hairdressers on Wednesday, this will be my first visit in around 10 years, it's a really big thing for me, cause I know I'm putting my hair in the hands of some one who doesn't know me, and from what I know of hair dressers, they don't have a look book that you can view to check how good there work is.

Right now I'm swaying between a radical change or just a good ole tidy up of my DIY attempts. Anyway it's on my mind constantly, what to do.... :)

Ivory Eco cotton loose weave shrug

Poor Mr iLE AiYE is suffering at the moment with sciatica, it's been nearly month, I had to talk sweetly to him today for him to take these images, (god love him), funny thing is, he started off, just capturing images from my hips up, by the time he'd finished, he was getting images from my ribs up, I think he was collapsing before my very eyes.

Here's the emerald green bamboo.

I'm really loving this shade of green at the moment, it's so strong, and rich, and just adds a pop of colour to your outfit.

I was missing in action for a while there

Wow the past two weeks have been manic, to point of over whelming really, but I'm now on the other side and can see some spare minutes in my day. :)

so this morning I quickly knitted up this Bamboo shrug, just a pretty little shoulder cover up to accessorize your outfit, the yarn is flat, like tape, and has a really decent weight to it. This will be a limited edition as I have a small stock of this discontinued yarn, it's also available in a pale pink, emerald green, and a slate greyish/blue.

Tis finished

So at 1am this morning I started this sweater, with a small 2 hour nap between 6 - 8am, a quick sandwich at 1pm, finally it's complete. The yarn I've used is a beautiful bamboo tape yarn, it's a totally discontinued yarn, I was lucky to retrieve a small stock, so whilst I was at it, I got myself a black shade, and a beautiful emerald green, I also have a steel blue which has been in my stash since last summer. I have other plans for these yarns, but the cream/ivory has worked a treat on this fringe sweater.

Work in progress

So this one is a custom order, the idea is to have a fringe Big UP sweater,

I tell you it's no mean feat securing all these tassels, I've got MR iLE AiYE on the job helping cut the tassels out whilst I secure them, it's taken me 2 hours thus far to secure this lot, I've still got two arms to finish and a bit of the back section,

I'm looking forward to trying on the finished version, here's hoping it will be today or perhaps tomorrow.

for ages I've been meaning to take some better images of these click it collars, Today I managed to do 3 shades, better than nothing I guess. and as you can see they're not just useful to layer up a winter outfit, they also work perfectly with a spring one too.
