Still knitting up some chunkies

I was rather restless last night, and couldn't sleep, so I decided to knit up this sweater, it's a shame the lighting is so god awful, cause the yarn in a good light is a really  gorgeous dusky red, in other lights it's this mauve pink ish tone.
Next on the list is a long (knee length) silver grey hairy yarn cardigan.

jigsaw braclets

During a shopping Trip back in December, I discovered these gorgeous bracelets, I tried one on, and it fit my wrist perfectly,  each bracelet is unique, made from either snake, lizard or hide skins, the jigsaw clasp is a little fiddly to secure, but well worth it, once secure on your wrist. Wanna see some london snow

Yes last night we had a little flutter of snow, and this was the result at mid afternoon today, thankfully it's not to deep, and the major roads are all but clear now.
The red sweater, is a custom order, the same yarn used in my thin grunge black sweater http://www.etsy.com/listing/64037283/black-lightweight-oversized-grunge

This little glitzy shrug is off to the Laureus Sports awards http://www.laureus.com/awards tomorrow night mixing with the likes of Usain  Bolt, Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton OMG.  An american customer is attending and chose my silver shrug to pair up with her Red evening gown.
I just wish I had a ticket.

First there was

www. then there was, facebook, then twitter, then tumbler, and now there's Pinterest.
I have an account with all of the above, but I've just discovered the joys of Pinterest, not only can you waste away to much time looking at other peoples Pins, but eventually when you've liked or pinned to your own boards, it really gives you an insight into your own style.
It took me until my late 30's to know what really looked good on me, and roughly what my style was, And surprisingly what my favourite all time colour was, I know it's shocking isn't it, but I could never settle on a particular colour as I thought they all had there place, But I think I can now say Red closely followed by yellow are my favourite shades. Anyway, if you'd like to follow my pinterest account the link is below, and please feel free to share your pinterest address with me. happy pinning. http://pinterest.com/ileaiye/pins/

It's blummin freezing

I absolutely, most definitely, unquestionably, hate Winter, Well January and February for sure, London is currently freezing. The lack of sunlight just turns everything including me limp and grey. My hair has no lift due to lack of fresh air, and sunlight, my skin looks dull, my fingers are cold, I have to wear thick woollen socks from the minute I get up right through till I go to bed. Every inch of me is covered up when I go out, and it's not much different when I'm indoors, The lighting in my photographs is poor to put it kindly, and generally I think it's a crime that winter has to be so brutal. I'm longing for the hint of spring and a whiff of warm air to blow. This is when my inspiration will really kick in. I'm just longing for some light cottons and fresh colours. In the meantime, I can only think of chunky warm knits.

a striped sweaterI

I'm a little partial to some stripe in my wardrobe, and with a low stock of this berry red yarn, I figured the best way to make it stretch would be a striped sweater. So last night I decided enough of knitting orders, and take a few hours to knit up something new, (It seems an age since I had time to do this) I also have plans to knit this same style sweater but in cotton (no stripes) and a thinner knit, suitable for summer days. so it was imperative to kick start with this, to enable me to work out the drape on the cotton version. any way. I was rather chuffed this morning, when I asked my son to take some pictures, he said 'did you make that', Yes I said, he replied 'it's well nice' :) So I'll take the complement with grace, thank you.
