Honies I'm home

Long tall all season brown sweater
silver light grey waistcoat
double cowl with clicks
After a night of travelling some 12hrs later, I  arrived home just a few hours ago, I couldn't wait to upload some new images of a few pieces I knitted whilst sat in the Greek sun.

The sweater has been on the go since December, and finally I finished it.

The waistcoat is an old fav of mine, and this shade yarn is slightly different to that which I've used in the past.

And the cowl is just a revamp of the click collars, but this one is a double cowl scarf. for those colder more scarf needy days.

I've also begun a new poncho type sweater, which has huge potential for development, but I ran out of yarn, so I'll have to get on with this once I've caught up on my outstanding orders.

Anyway, there's nothing more lovely than knitting in the early morning sun, next to the pool in a bikini.  Bliss.

Some Sweaters

Navy Blue cotton and linen throw on sweater
Navy Blue cotton and linen throw on sweater

Here's a couple of new shades both were custom orders, but sadly the Mustard yellow can't be re-created as that shade is now discontinued and the stock I have is dedicated to another jacket.
But the blue sweater is the same design as this cream http://www.etsy.com/listing/77456557/cotton-and-linen-mix-throw-on-sweater
this yarn also comes is other shades of blue, lilac, yellow, and red which I'm very tempted to buy, but lord I have so much yarn I'm not sure i could add to it right now. So I'll have to wait and hopefully a customer will request a red throw on sweater. :)

VACATION VACATION VACATION

YEAH I've booked a VACATION for the first time in some years, I'm taking a full whole week off, and heading to the sunny skies of Greece on 6th September.

I won't be closing my store entirely, but any orders placed from tomorrow 26th August onwards will require an additional 7 - 10 days to process.

a couple of new staples

light taupe summer shrug
grey poncho in luxury fibres

The grey poncho is very similar to the Grey yarn used in the Grey Wraparound jacket, but this has a mix of Merino, and alpaca fibres. it's sooooft.
The shrug, is kid mohair and silk, which is even softer, it's a strange shade, when worn it looks cream, but when put next to a cream is looks more like a light taupe, kind of silvery beige.
Anyway it's pretty either way.

Vegas shawl

Green shawl poncho Vegas style

So these are some more of the yarns I picked up during my visit home. I've been sitting thinking how to best use them up, this morning I decided to play with some of the green yarns, and once I'd knitted up the basic shape, I played around with styles, and whoppee, the vegas shawl was born.
I've used a new stitch which, when knitted tightly looks like a basket weave, it's totally interesting, and as you can see on a loose weave, it's just perfect, making web like details, and nice large holes, big enough to put your arms through, another whoppee.
So I'm now looking forward to mixing this up a little and making up some other shades.

This was a custom order.

Ivory white linen poncho

It's not often I make a mistake, but today I knitted the wrong yarn in the stripe at the bottom, it was meant to be gold, doh..... so this is now available in my store, http://www.etsy.com/listing/79799132/ivory-white-linen-poncho and I have to get my needles hot and knit up the correct one..
