Some pinks

It was a little tricky getting these images done today, firstly it was bucketing it down, and secondly it was totally freezing.   I was shivering, as was Mr iLE AiYE it really is amazing that these images came out at all,

Anyway the hat is a mix of cotton and linen, and the sweater is a custom request for the pinkish red chunky alpaca mix yarn.

TIME OUT

So as I struggle to find any time to knit up new designs, and I have a pile of yarns waiting to be used, I've decided to take the bull by the horns and book myself off working to orders, during the w/c 12 - 17March.
So any orders received between 5 - 17th March may need a further 7 days to complete.

I have so many ideas running around in my head, it feels like I'm going to loose them, and if I don't do anything about my YARN OCD I fear my flat will be nothing more than a store room for wool waiting to be used.

So hopefully I'll have some new treats to show you in a few weeks.

New Wax effect coated Jeans

I've been looking for a pair of jeans like these for ages, This morning, I found these, so into the shopping cart they went.  They have a zip on the inner ankle. ummm.  and the straight skinny cut is just what I was looking for. 

A hint of pink

Can you see the pink tips. well I know it's tame, but it's my first ever experiment with an unnatural colour.
I'm loving it, and as I have 1 and 3/4 tubes left I'll be doing some more in the near future. first I want to see how long this lasts, the instructions say 8 - 20 washes.
if all goes well, I'm tempted to do a graduating effect, from red to pink.

I'm dip dyeing my hair,

I've been inspired and so right now I'm sat with a pink dye on the the end tips of my hair.

Mr iLE AiYE is restless, and telling me not to do it, but I'm doing it. he's now sleeping. so...  in 40 minutes I'll see how the colour comes through.

I'd like to end up with something like this, but not quite so much, only the bottom 4 inches or so.
currently I've only done about 2 - 3 inches at the back, so if it all goes wrong, I'll be cutting it off, and no one other than us will be the wiser.

Still knitting up some chunkies

I was rather restless last night, and couldn't sleep, so I decided to knit up this sweater, it's a shame the lighting is so god awful, cause the yarn in a good light is a really  gorgeous dusky red, in other lights it's this mauve pink ish tone. 

Next on the list is a long (knee length) silver grey hairy yarn cardigan.
