It's that time of year again

Halterneck time.

This was a custom order, and I might possibly list it in my store as an exclusive, cause I have very little of this yarn left, and one of the yarns I have about 10mtrs only. I made myself a linen one last year, and just love it. Only thing is it's really not suitable attire for the streets of London, so it's in my holiday garments section.

Holiday notice

I've decided I need to have a few days off, so from 18-20th May inclusive, my needles and I will be having a rest. I think I've been knitting none stop since my visit to my parents last July, I'm almost near exhausted, so for three days, I'll be sleeping, cleaning, shopping, and hopefully taking a day trip to the sea. :)

Take 2

So the sun came out, and Mr iLE AiYE was dragged outside quickly to take some better images, I also had a few minutes extra to try and style the look, so I'm happier with the finished results. now I can get back to knitting,

up against it.

It was just beginning to rain again this morning, and my son was so short of time, as I grabbed him on his way out to work, which meant a super quick photo session. Not that the usual photo session is a long one, but this was fraught with clock watching, I think it took about 60 seconds.

This is a pink chelsea jacket, knitted from the same yarn used in the Pink grunge, the jacket is about two sizes to big for me, but hopefully you get the idea.

mind you, I think I might have to get some better images, i'm not to happy with these, or perhaps I've just been spoilt of late with all the lovely sunshine which creates such good lighting.

Linen and cotton swirl scarf

I might give this another go, but on longer circular needles, as I completely didn't think of using them when i started knitting this loose swirl linen and cotton summer scarf.

In order to get the slight twist effect you need to start with as many stitches as possible, so i filled my needle to the point of bursting. If I'd used my circular needles the finished result would have been longer, cause in the first instance I could have got double the amount of stitches during casting on.

Never mind.

More Grunge

This is the electric blue shade, I'm nearly there, ie: knitting up every shade available in this yarn, I think I have just the purple and black left. Although I've seen the purple, and to be honest it's more of a red, and much to similar to the red grunge. So I won't be bothering with that one.
