Sometimes I'll make something, and never actually wear it myself. These collar are one of those. Well up until yesterday. Having made/created the first one in October 2008, I knew they looked great, and would finish off a winter/autumn outfit with some funk. But due to most times when I went out last winter I was on my scooter, (which was flipping cold) I didn't want to ruin it. So yesterday, as their was a chill in the air, I popped this one with the snake skin strap around my neck, skinny jeans, white sweat top, and a chocolate 3/4 length woolen jacket, and wow, it looked amazing, I even got an order for a black one, whilst queuing at the post office. HEHE.

My head is not spinning, honest,

Well if August taught me anything, that was to not get my head all in a spin, it was a good learning curve, for knitting deadline pressures. September has started off, much where August left off, I didn't think it would be possible. At the end of day 3 (3rd September) my orders are currently sitting at 27 items sold. thats basically 9 orders a day. WHAT....

Anyway I think this is mostly due to Etsy sticking me in their gift guide, and their 'September to remember Storque article. http://www.etsy.com/storque/spotlight/etsy-finds-a-september-to-remember-4928/

A more daytime friendly tank top

So I had to make up some stock for the stratford upon avon fayre, and decided to kill two birds with one stone. update stock with new pieces :-) .
Taking the design from the custom ordered tank I simplified it to make a more day time friendly version. and using this lovely pink & orange cotton yarn it's certainly made it more conservative. I even dabbled in some crochet, can you see the tiny corsage. Well it only took me nearly an hour to make that :-O ... I don't think to many of them will be coming out of iLE AiYE any time soon.

Etsy :: Gift Guides :: Scholastic Style

Etsy :: Gift Guides :: Scholastic Style

So on Saturday evening, I noticed etsy had put me in their scholastic style gift guide. and in their halloween gift guide. (we won't talk about that ? :-) the link above will take you to the guide.

This is Etsy's decription of Scholastic style
With the new school season right around the corner, it's time to study up on collegiate fashion. The items in this guide are equivalent to a graduate level course in style! For those returning to the din of lockers and crowded halls this autumn, or those alumni who still yearn for intellectual elements in their ensembles, treat this guide as your summer reading list. Looking for more scholastic inspiration?

How about that then, My Mustard linen and cotton shawl, is equivalent to a graduate level course in style !!

:-)))) Yeah I'm chuffed.
