A day out at WeMake

Linen pincushion - crochet motif
Crochet Linen Flowers Brooches - set of 3

So yesterday, i took myself off to the WeMAKE fair atChelsea town hall, Kings Road.
and enjoyed a browse around at all the wonderful handmade goodies on offer.
with over 60 stalls it was a hard choice finding a little something to come away with, but I settled on a pin cushion and two broaches very similar to the ones above. i'd seen http://www.etsy.com/shop/namolio store on etsy, and quite fancied a new pin cushion for some time. and those little crochet broaches are just perfect for all manner of things, as i often pin clothes as a way of altering them without going though the hassle of completely restructuring them on the sewing machine, and i am a bit of a soft touch when it comes to broaches, i think this is my main weekness for jewellery, as i'm not a big fan of necklaces, and I dont wear earring.
anyway I'm very happy with these little beauties, and I just love her choice of colours, they just have that vintage look about them.

a Warm comfy sweaters

so who doesn't love a warm comfy sweater, Do you often wear your boyfriends, husbands, dads oversized worn and loved jumpers,
Well if you do, fear no more, here is the iLE AiYE upgrade,
Designed around my original Exclusive sweaterhttp://www.etsy.com/listing/44050708/ile-aiye-exclusive-range-big-soft-comfy but just a little shorter, and knitted with a different, less expensive yarn, makes this version a more affordable option.

Also available in a jet black, and an ivory cream. pictures of these will be available when time permits me to knit them up.
I'll also be making some accessories to match, such as a Cowl, which will turn the sweater from a crew neck into a polo neck in one easy step, and a matching hoodie like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/24886431/styling-it-black-hoodie-scarflette, is on the cards, so then you could have one sweater with three different looks.
and possibly a matching hat, gloves and leg warmers, are on the horizon, but I'll put some thought into that one first.

Knitting gloves on a really hot morning

Yeah I've been knitting these this morning, the sun was up bright and early the sky has been blue and a soft breeze blowing in through the window, So why I was knitting gloves, who knows. I'm also knitting a winter jumper, not that i'm wishing for winter or anything, I mean we've only just had our second serious spell of sunshine in over 10 months.

Early mornings

Life in the iLE AiYE household has been starting ridiculously early again this week, averaging around 4am, this morning it was 4.30am, I'm not complaining, cause I actually really love this time of the day, the city is just waking up, so it's pretty quiet. The sky has also been blue most mornings this week, although sadly it's turned grey again around 7am. And of course it means I can work in tranquillity

Anyway this morning i decided one of my knitted shrugs needed to be stitched and finally pictured. it'd been waiting for this process for about 3 weeks. As is often the case the timing was perfect, just as the scissors clipped off the last thread my son woke up, to head out to football training. So I hassled him to take a couple of pictures, he didn't mumble to much, which was extra nice.
