umm I like it.

For Beach Babes

i'm excited by my new design, which is hot off my needles this morning.
it's a simple design, (often the best) but with the right colours and fabrics, it's becomes a lot more than simple, and more like stunning.
If only I was 21 again, or lived on a beach in Greece. i'd be strolling around in the sun wearing one of these. Sadly I'm much older than 21 and live in the city of London, I think I'd get some odd looks strolling around the local market in this.
For you beady eyed regulars to by blog. You'll notice I've utilised those tassels once more. (how handy they are turning out to be)..
I will dare to model this later today, but first i need to finish some orders and get them posted out.

Back on the road

This is my lovely little scooter, for just over a year I've not rode it, and the poor thing has sat outside, a bit unloved, Today I took it to the garage for some much needed attention.
The good news is it will be ready tomorrow, yeah.
so all being well I'll be scootering around London again for those urgent shopping trips, or days out in the sun.

A lovely start to a peaceful day

This morning I received a surprise convo from a customer who'd purchased one of my firefly shrugs for her outfit which was to be worn at her daughters forth coming wedding. The convo this morning included a couple of images from the big day, which showed off the firefly shrug just beautifully. I think it captures the virtue of the shrug perfectly, it's designed to give a women modesty, to cover the arms in situations where a bare arm is just not fitting for the event, and well the mother of the bride is a women of modesty.

What also pleased me, is, as i don't sell very much via face 2 face contact these days, it's kind of rare to see my creations on other people, i'm only seeing them on me, So the imags just confirmed that my work is real, goes to real people and is worn in real situations.

you know some days within minutes of being awake you know the day is going to be nice / or in some cases bad, The convo and images this morning really made me happy, and assured me today would be a nice day. Now as i'm about to head for my bed, I can confirm today was a peaceful, quiet and happy day, from start to finish.

summer shades

I've had this orange cotton yarn along with other spring shades sat in my stash since last autumn. the plan was to knit them up in spring for the warmer weather, well I've had to kick my butt, cause summer has well and truly kicked in, around the world, apart from the UK (of course) where we've had barely a handful of warm sunny days.
So now I just have to get the rest of these spring shades knitted up, before autumn is upon us once more, and these cottons are stuck in my stash box for yet another year.

Ran out of yarn to finish this

Inspired during my sisters visit this past weekend, and a trip to Chelsea on saturday, I'm going to call this 'The Chelsea Jacket'
Unfortunately i ran out of yarn to complete the arms, so these will be knitted later in the week,
so for now imagine if you will ,a long sleeved figure hugging jacket.
Also, imagine it slightly longer with a little more flare on the skirt area. As the final version will fall to around the middle of the thigh area.
But for now I'm pretty happy with it.
