If at first you don't succeed.

Try try again, So whilst my 1st attempt at the hood on this sweater was ok, there was something about the finished look that wasn't flowing, so I took the hood apart, and re-knitted it, as I had only a tiny bit of the yarn left, I opted to knit the hood without the cable stitching, so the finished look would have a bit more room, (cable knitting tends to gather the material).

Anyway now it's all finished (apart from tidying up the loose threads) I'm much happier with it.
